Sunrise Hostel (重庆尚悦明清客栈)
Hidden in the alleys around the Huguang Guild Hall, Sunrise Hostel is a fantastic place to start your exploration of Chongqing.
Set in a Ming/Qing style courtyard (hence the Chinese name of the hostel), complete with fountains and sculptures, Sunrise offers cold beers, nice rooms and simple meals.
The neighborhood is a great introduction of the city's history and you're only a five minute taxi ride from the clubs if that's what you're into.
