九龙坡 Jiulongpo

Five Musts:
About:
Yeah it’s hard to find someone in this town who gives two shits about Jiulongpo. Nevertheless, this is where the surprisingly quiet art district of Huangjueping stands. Its legendary graffiti street full of art supply shops has marvels to offer. Its amazing hidden bars, converted factories filled with artist studios and the old campus of the Sichuan Fine Arts institute all rank among the city’s top sights. Jiulongpo also has a pretty regular walking street in Yangjiaping, a dirty KTV strip for you to lose your soul and the only olympic stadium in town.

The Olympic Stadium:
Jay Chou concert or fixed football game anyone?
This wine bar within the Huangjueping Tank Loft is super chiq.
The 501:
Converted cigarette factory filled with artspaces, bars and studios for every kind of artist.
Graffiti Street:
Buildings painted by migrant workers host some of the most satisfying finds around.
See the latest student works or climb on top of the commercial design building for an amazing view.
