Hongyadong (洪崖洞)

If you’re one to cross bridges from Jiangbei to the tip of the Yuzhong peninsula, you’ve surely noticed this grandiose, obscenely illuminated 11-floor high complex housing bars, restaurants, a Subway, a Starbucks and a Dairy Queen.

While the building is by no means authentic, it is now host to the brand new Cliff’s, possibly the only place in the immediate area to get proper western food and a nice beer.

Red line to Xiaoshizi, 5-10 minute walk

Location:

Either driving on the Jialing River Road or walking from Linjiangmen station towards Chaotianmen, it is one of the easiest sights to find in the city.
